ok let me start of by saying i like the guy and woundnt even think of getting rid of him ( this is not a get br out thread).

but BR is starting to get up my t!ts with some of his selection and subs. for me today he was poor along with the players. a few things that got me ticked off was

* why the hell did it take soo long to get phillip off?

* why did he bring lucas on?

* why borini when he offers nothing (in terms of tactical change)

* why didnt he bring on lambert and play two upfront and give them something to think of

i like you wink

i would play a diamond with sterling in the hole and maio and lambert upfront.

i would rather see myself in the hole over phillip at the mo

I though Borini looked excellent when he came on.

If he'd chosen suso instead of phil and we'd lost, people on here would have crucified him.

Br subs and tactics were actually spot on. Put on lucas because he was moving henderson up the field to put pressure on the defence to make mistakes. If he's moving out the engine of the midfield he needed cover alongside gerrard hence the defensive minded lucas. The borini sub was also a better option mario is a target man putting on lambert beside him is suicide lambert isn't a runner. Borini made more sense Liverpools problem right now is sideways and backwards passing borini is a striker he attacks the channels pulling defenders with him hence why moreno had a easier target for marios goal.

Coutino and lallana are my biggest issue they refuse from committing players and even then they won't make the pass when someone makes the run.

sorry, did you say excellent?

what was to excellent in his little cameo?. i saw him touch the ball twice and was fouled both times ( did well to get a foul i guess) but that doesnt constitute to excellent

Watch the replay, watch his movement, his workrate. He missed a good header when he just came on too, well actually, the goalie saved it, but I thought he put himself about and did well. Borini drew a defender for Mario's goal too. Ok, perhaps excellent is a bit over the top, but my point is he did quite well. Also as LFC Chris has explained in his post above, Borini was the logical substitution to make, not Ricky.
