There is an eventual plan to extend the stadium to 70k when they eventually replace the Kop and centenary although given they built the main stand in 1973 41 years ago and they have recently rebuild these stands that could be 30 years hence or more. The echo website also indicates they are building commercial businesses around the ground so 70k really is it for all time. Vish says how do I know other clubs will be wanting to go to 70 k and beyond I don't. But if they do we are stuffed. Vish also says city can't fill 48k funny that because if he goes to the eithad today he would see lots of cranes as they are extending it. Long term it can be any size it likes due to the space. In twenty years time I am confident city will have the support base of Liverpool (as was) or Manchester United. It seems to me you spend more time at the etihad and old trafford, and with your Manchester supporting mates than you do at Andield with other kopites. How easily people can be bought, one shiny stadium is all it takes.
