Terry might play for the Chavs but you have to admit he has been the best centre back for at least the last 4 seasons. You're going to have to get off this Ireland band wagon mate. If Ireland were that good they would be winning World Cups and Euros. I'm as patriotic as the next guy but what you are saying would be like me saying Liverpool should sign Viduka and Cahill and Schwatzer.

Agger is well in demand-AC Milan,Inter and Barcelona are after him-how much more in demand can a player be in.
Agger is much younger than Barry and Babel will only be turning 23 in December.

I agree Terry isn't the player he was, but that's still twice the player Dunne ever will be!

How long until you start claiming that Dunne has, in fact, already signed for Liverpool and that Rafa and his new assistant manager Liam Brady have turned there attentions to Lee Carsley and Anthony Stokes to replace Gerrard and Torres.

What about hangeland from fulham, i think if agger does leave he would be a very good signing. We need a big dominant centre back.

Well, i'll be the first to apologise if Kevin Doyle does arrive in the summer but i've heard nothing elsewhere and you seem to be harboring a major pro-irish bias, to the extent you prefer Robbie Keane to Rafa.

As for the centre-back, let's worry about that if and when Agger or Hyypia leave! Although things look iffy with Agger at the moment, things can change very quickly, only have to look at Gerrard 2 seasons running to see that players we all think are going can eventually stay!!

Skrtel has been great up until about the last 5 or 6 games, which is why he's been left out a couple of times recently. I don't think he's been any worse than Carragher though really. Hopefully his form will come back soon enough.

If we lose Agger we're losing our only central defender who is comfortable on the ball, he's as important as Alonso for retaining position when fully fit. I would be gutted if he went.

That's a good point Cinc. No one has mentioned the form of Carra. He hasn't been playing the greatest of late and there has been no criticism of him. We should look at the bigger picture instead of targeting a player you don't like. Just because you don't like them, doesn't mean they don't do a good job for the team. You have to remember that all these players play the way Rafa asks them too.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned Carra's form previously in this thread because I'm worried if Agger goes then we don't really have a back up for Carra and Sami retire. Agger will and Skrtel would be an immense paring back there and I think it is crucial that agger stays. Comfortable on the ball and attacks from the back which then draws players to him and creates more space up front. Not mention he is very solid at what he's supposed to be doing and that is defend!
