I would have liked Remy but it seems Fabio screwed us on that one.

BBC says a 6m loan to buy for 43.5m and I thought Mario was 16m. If Falcoa is as good as he was before his injury, 43.5m is good when you look at the prices top strikers go.

He's not far off 30yrs old, has had a few injuries, and has never played in the premier league. He 'might' do well but he could just as easily fail miserably.

He is 28 and it's a loan with option to buy, so if he failed miserably, no need to sign.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't an obligation to buy. That's the difference. I doubt the figures reported are correct. If he wants to go to United, fair play. Not many would play outside the champions league again.

I'm glad we got Mario. It was reported as 16m euros so roughly £13m, is only 24, has played EPL and as far as we know, doesn't want to feck off to RM as soon as he can. Don't forget, the reported loan fee just a few days ago was £12m so why all of a sudden has it dropped?

He's a great player but as others said, he's not priority for them and not really for us now.

It is an obligation to buy....there are ways around it, but it is obligation to buy.

Falcao vs Balotelli. One is a 28 year old coming back from an injury, first time in a new league who his heart set on Madrid. The other is a 24 year old who has played at some big clubs, EPL experience and is out to prove a point.

Mario appears to be better business (we will know more at the end of the season) but if Falcao can replicate his form of two years ago, Mancs have one hell of a player on their hands.

I've not really seen much of Falcao, but imo he has the better name.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

28 isn't far off 30. Besides, he's one of those players with a question mark surrounding is real age - he's suspected to be older than he claims.

The 'loan' in this case is similar to our 'loan' deal with Manquillo. To all intents and purposes it's a permanent transfer. But as both clubs have already spent heavily and want to avoid FFP problems, the actual sale of the player is deferred so it will go into the expenditure column of a different year's accounts.

So because Monaco has spent heavily they would loan thier player to avoid FFP? laugh By the way, Manure doesn't have any FFP issues
