Positives - Sterling picks up where he left off last year. Unplayable at times and is getting into great positions. Seems like he can play equally as good on the outside or through the middle. Moreno looks dynamic with real football quality. Henderson may have improved again. Not only does he cover the pitch and pressure/tackle aggressively but he's also playing some nice passes. I think Lovren looks good as an individual defender but paired with Sakho....on to the negatives.
Negatives - Sakho looks like he he doesn't want to have to pass the ball. He either under hits the ball, gives it away or waits so long to pass that he puts next player under pressure. Very poor. BR should think long before letting Coates go out on loan. Sakho + Lovren as a pairing are dodgy. Both went for the same ball on at least 4 occasions...and almost cost us goals.
Controversial but Stevie was below par. Gave the ball away too much in the first half and he long passing was off.
Balotelli & Markovic - not enough to make judgement but I'd put money that they both come through as very good signings.
