that's fair enough CJ...we'll need to keep a close eye on Torres though too...if things don't improve I say he could be eyeing the exit in the January transfer window.

To sum up if Rafa is managing next season then he first has to win back the fans who he has lost of the last season. Second he has to massively approve the league form and commitment on the pitch. Finally if he cannot do that by end of this year then he has to go, no arguments of more time and injury crap.

This season has been so negative that we wont know what will happen next season. all i can hope for is a positive change and winning 1 or 2 trophies would be nice.

Could be heaven, could be hell. Scenario one is new owners giving substantial investment to a new top manager. Then we could really be back on track. Scenario two, nothing changes, we're fighting for fourth again at best, and probably falling short once more, with the better players looking for exit visas.

i think if we buy the correct players, we will be back to the lfc of last year.

We really need a quality striker, and a quality playmaker to replace xabi or of aquilani is on sick leave.

I am not a regular poster and just recently created a username but do read the forums on a daily basis.

What are people honest expectations for next season?
Both in regards to our performance and the club as a whole (owners etc).

I am very hesitant to be ecstatic in regards to the Americans stating they want to sell, im actually feeling quit the opposite that RBS didn’t force them to sell. It reads to me that they basically bought a 6 month extension. This then tells me that (assuming it snot sold in the summer
1) no budget will be made available for transfers next year.
2) As they are not pushed to sell, we will have another year of doom and gloom.
3) stuck with Rafa or interim manager

If we do not find another owner who is committed to make the club a success Liverpool FC will be a mid table team next year!
Please however note: I do not soley blame the owners, I think its time Rafa should leave, but until the club is sorted its hard to attract a top manager. Who would join Liverpool if they knew a new owner would come and hence they would review the management. I can only see Avram Grant or Kenny taking that role in that situation.

Add a number 4 that either Gerrard or Torres will leave. Gerrard is almost 30, he knows that he doesn't have much time left.

every week in the papers and on different websites the stories change so until next season starts nobody nos what will happen so all we can do is speculate ,lets just hope its a happy summer and not another strikerless one.
