So everyone on here should be expecting a better spurs team than last time we went down to white heart lane. It is really hard to predict first 11s right now because Rodgers has made it clear he wants to ease the new signings into the team.

----------sturridge----------
Markovic Hendo sterling
--------Gerrard Can------------
Moreno Lovren skrtl Flanagan

That would leave us with a strong bench including balotelli, coutinho

If flano is not fit then manquillo

This is the lineup I would also play and to show that we have improved over last year, a win is of utmost importance.

I would go with 2 strikers up top. So far our games have shown us to be much more effective with two up top.

It's not yet a must win. It's only the third game ffs! It won't say much of anything about us if we do t win it.

I'd go 2 up top with Mario being able to play (if fit enough) no real reason not too. It'll certainly give them a bit more to think about.

if spurs win and go 6 points ahead of us, it will give them a massive moral boost and might just be the lick they need to go on a run of wins.

am i the only one that is a little concerned about spurs?

It may not be a must win but it is a must not lose. I wouldn't want to be 6 points behind these early on as they will get their tails up and we will have to start chasing.

They have won 2 London derbies and even play at home in Europa league so they have yet to leave London.

Hopefully we will be the big step up in opposition that they have yet to face. We were brilliant there last season and we really need to get that first goal because these really can be torn apart when they go chasing a lead.

FFS we demolished them last year and even if they have improved, we should be able to win even with a one goal difference. I also thought that new managers needed time to settle. They have 3 points more than us and they will probably be competing with us for CL position. Of couse we need to win or maybe we should just wait until Jan to beat our main rivals. What's this BS attitude of not being too bothered with not winning? I would understand against a team like City where I would have taken a draw anytime, but not against a team we demolished last year and whose manager has just arrived.
