Yep of corse ! But are you saying br hasn't a clue defensively or the players just don't listen ? defense is sure looking to be BR's weakness and it shows, he is still a young manager and still learning, just hope he realize the problem quickly, no shame in bringing a trainer specialized on defense, they do this the NBA.

I think it all came down to City's fire power. Last season we at least had the possibility of outscoring them, not so this time around. don't think it had anything to do with how good city are. we know their strengths, we know how they play but our defending was truly shocking. complete lack of organisation which seriously needs to be addressed. maybe the players at the back just need a bit longer to gel. the sooner the better though because we made some very basic errors and teams will punish us this season. maybe another defensive coach is required. bring carra back to kick their arse's!!!!!!!!!!!!! i think going forward we lacked the movement of luis suarez. we really did miss him last night but he wouldn't have been able to play or train anyway so i guess it doesn't make sense to make that comparison just yet. i think we also miss the diamond 442, sturridge hardly got himself into the box, none of the other players had any real presence going forward either. markovic looked good when he come on but it was quite clear to see our play improved as soon as lambert was introduced. lets see how our attacking play evolves throughout the season. i think we had it in us to mount a decent effort of a come back when lambert come on. we looked dangerous for the first time in the game. then players started picking up injuries after we'd used all our subs and it was a massive blow. credit to moreno for staying on and even though he wasn't great defensively, his work rate was admirable. something glen johnson can learn a thing or two from. the way glen indicated to rodgers that he needed to come off before he'd even been treated and assessed by the physio was appalling. this was a massive game for liverpool and even though there wasn't a lot of time left we'd looked dangerous going forward for the first time in the match. i've seen carra play on after needed stitches and being unconscious. but not johnson no, he just walks off nonchalant. no effort, no desire, no balls get rid

complete lack of organisation which seriously needs to be addressed. maybe the players at the back just need a bit longer to gel Yes, and the center midfielders need to be part of it, we had 3 in the game but they covered $#!t, on the other hand City just had 2 and they were like a wall. Look at the highlights of the pre-season, wen teams attack us we concede big space in the box, but when we attack the opposition is closing down well, we had to be extra brilliant to score but we let others have an easy time. If anyone remembers the first few games from last season we were really solid and had some 1-0 wins, I hate to say it but ever since Gerrard moved to the holding role we started to concede goals more often on a regular basis, when Milan thrived under this system with Pirlo he had Seddorf and Ghatuso doing hard work covering his bum, Anccaloti set up a sophisticated rotation system where everyone knows who and where to cover, when it didn't work they conceded many goals but it was the odd game for them, unlike every other game for us. As the season progresses people will realize the next big signing we need for next season will be a defensive midfielder and defense coach

I don't think he had a mare. He had a bright start until he stupidly hesitated on that loose ball that Jovetic pounced on for the goal. Before that he and the back line as a whole looked solid (although Johnson was a passenger again). He was committed in his tackles, an outlet going forward, and he wasn't getting beaten one on one. After the goal he had some rough patches, but he showed plenty of promise. That's his first time playing with those guys, and he and Lovren were slightly out of sync. That will improve.

I don't think that the objective for us this season is to go one higher but to continue the rebuilding whatever that means.

City had 3 chances the whole game and buried them all. I don't think we'll see another team that clinical all season. You watch Chelsea, they'll have less chances but will still win.

They didn't park the bus for the first two games and that's why everyone is lording over them saying how great they looked. He may save the buses until he meets the better teams.
