Jones, Enrique, sakho, toure, Coates , Kelly, can, Allen, suso, ibe, lambert.

Thats the team I hear played although conflicting reports about the score... Some say 2-0 to Burnley others 2-1 to us with Lambert scoring both...

Why all this secrecy?
Was it being played behind closed doors?

Gives a chance to use players not used in pre-season. Also a chance to play a team of your own level. Also sometimes used for clubs to invite scouts from other clubs to watch players with a view to selling or going out on loan. Any fitness doubts can be looked at and possibly those on the edge of a place on the bench may need to prove they can go 90 minutes if needed.

Not to mention ripping your own pitch up 24 hours after big pre season game plus fans paying to watch basically a reserves match.
