I saw..hendo away to spurs -brilliant but he is more a hustling bustling player. mccarthy is a proper controller, keane like...hendo showed in world cup that he will never be able to do what mccarthy can and does

but, dunno why but it feels like a missed opportunity even though we've actually bought what, like 10 players already? Thankfully am not the manager cuz I'd have made a DM a priority. I'd be surprised if we didnt buy a proper striker to replace Suarez.
The questions am pondering are, are we actually stronger than last season? have we addressed the leaky midfield and defense? all remains to be seen

We definitely have a better squad but a bit weaker first team, however, if Sturridge is injured the first team will get much much weaker

I'm surprised your using the England world cup effort to gage Hendos ability Emp,he will mature into the complete midfielder at Liverpool.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

I still believe there's alot more to come from him, especially when he starts scoring and his confidence grows.

Feel similar to the op. But imagine if we dont know our best or firat 11 or even the system we will play. Can you imagine other managers figuring us out too easily?

I think br had earned our trust. I think he has a plan.

I suggest it was more luck than design. He was forced to abandon his preferred tikki-taka approach (remember when we all used to panic as we meesed around at the back?); he did nothing to improve us defensively; he didn't have anything tactically in the big games when things were tight - we were embarrasingly outplayed at the emirates, had no answers to Mourinho's bus when we only needed a point; couldn't hold on to a lead at the bridge; were lucky to beat City at home etc.

When you look at the top four from an international perspective, we have an unknown manager at the helm. Any surprise Sanchez didn't fancy joining us? Even from a domestic perspective, he still hasn't won anything. He's still a novice learning his trade. Our hope is that he'll learn quick and fullfil his potential.

We had goals last season cuz we had SAS and occasionally Sterling, but our midfield was non existent at times especially against teams that didn't show us any respect à la Aston Villa. Now SAS is broken and we don't seem to have reinforced defensive mid frown . So in my eyes fewer goals and a suspect defensive midfield unit. It helps that we've bought some hopefully better defenders but I believe games are controlled in midfield, with a solid midfield, defenders have less to worry about. Hope am wrong.

Hopefully Rodgers will play our strongest team tomorrow, I think he's chopped and changed far too much in preseason. I remember last preseason it was our best team bar Suarez the last couple of games and we really hit the ground running.

Definitely need a couple of big signings to improve the first 11 in my opinion. Our best 11 as things stand to me is:

Mignolet,Flanngan,Lovren,Sakho,Enrique,Coutinho,Gerrard,Henderson,Sterling,Sturridge, Markovic

Pretty good team but Flannagan and Markovic are injured, We don't have a decent alternative to Sturridge who will probably miss at least a quarter of the season through injuries. If we are going to play the diamond again with 2 strikers really we need to sign another 2 strikers not just 1.
