I could not agree more! It was time to move him on, but for some reason people don't want to let go of a player that blatantly wanted out of here a long time ago. Now he doesn't even want to play football he's just protecting his pay cheque.

I could not agree more! It was time to move him on, but for some reason people don't want to let go of a player that blatantly wanted out of here a long time ago. Now he doesn't even want to play football he's just protecting his pay cheque. But he wasn't getting a game with us either! He's gone now and that's probably best for all involved but Jones is no competition for Mignolet.

Absolutely. He's still a big name and would get 1st team football at a lot of decent european clubs on the strength of his reputation. Basically, he has retired on a massive pension!

Rodgers is all about filling the squad with competition for places in all areas. Why people believe because we're selling Reina automatically means we're not getting anyone else is nuts.

I don't know, none of us do. But now it seems we are looking for a goalkeeper a few weeks before the season starts along with a LB apparently and another top striker.

I would think Bayern won't be paying Reina £100k a week, maybe Liverpool will pay Reina off with the £2m fee? Either way I have the feeling that Rodgers and Reina can't stand each other so it's best that he's sold. He was average at best the last couple of seasons anyway. Don't think there's anything personal. The idea was to get him off the wage bill. Johnson will probably go for the same reason.

Still can't understand how Bayern think he is good enough for them and we don't. Yes we got him off the wage bill, but we still need to buy another keeper who is going to cost much more than 2m for similar quality. Good business for Bayern, as usual.

Buy a young keeper for about £7m and they pay for themselves after one season.
