played well vs MU, notice he was trying to be more assertive than he ever was last season, applying early pressure high up, would make a great partner to Lovern.
as far as CB we are well off, the problems we are having in pre-season come from..
1)the fullbacks 2)bad covering from defensive midfield 3)not sustaining commitment to defense, have to put this down to coaching, it's like the players get bored of defensive duties, they do well when they focus but can't keep it up, call it Glenn Johnson syndrome.

Talking of bad covering fro DM's, here is a question I was asked that really did make me think.
If you wee offered a player at the same age and level as ability as stevie g has in that position right now, would you take him, as a week in week out, 1st name on the team sheet?
My answer was no. An unfortunately, I am 1 of those who believe in this day and age, sentiment has almost no place in football anymore.
Stevie is terrible in that position, the sooner we face up to that, the better.

Just because you wouldn't buy Gerrard now doesn't make keeping him and playing him sentimental. He still has plenty to offer as does Pirlo at Juve, as did Giggs at 40 and remember what Gary Mac did for us?

sakho is strong in the tackle good in the air and his passing has been proved to be the most accurate in the defence , with a top left back next to him and a leader along side him i can see him getting better .

Me too SuperSuso, I'd expect him to be a regular now.
