Bit of pride i suppose, so let's hope we stuff 'em, but won't be devoed if we lose, same as I won't be doing cartwheels through hoops of fire if we win.

Some games are difficult for me to catch for this reason. I'm chuffed to have them broadcasted at a decent hour for US time for once!

Several points i want to mention.

1. I'm gonna watch the game although its at 2am local time, i've got a few days off work so i can sleep in tomorrow.

2. I think both sides will be fielding weakened teams as we will want to avoid injuries, and i suspect Danny's and Lazars injuries are almost non existent but that we didn't want to risk them after Lallana took a hit. I think our youngsters are better overall but that even if they field a full strength team, it will be a close affair.

3. Yes its per season and all that, but no game against united is just another friendly. I want us to win it, badly!

4. I recently spoke to some people who informed me that football is the 2nd most popular sport amongst teens in the states. That there is a gigantic potential market which we MUST exploit. I repeat, MUST!

It's certainly a growing sport out here, and depending which region you're in, it is one of the most popular sports among young people. I'm an example of it, myself.

For years it was sort of seen as the gateway sport that everyone played before graduating to baseball, basketball or American football; but lately it's played by more and more people. American football will probably remain the most popular sport out here, but association football is catching up to the others very quickly.
