After he made his dream debut in 2013 and scored a goal on the last day of the season, we've been expecting big things from him. Especially after preseason last year, I was expecting him to make an impact. He hasn't yet, but he looks like a gem of a player. Pace, power, flair, skill, creativity. . . All he lacks is a finish. As we've seen today, while a very good player already, he isn't the finished article yet.

So what is next for Ibe? Should he go out on loan to a premier league club? Or should he be on the bench for CL and cup games, even the odd league game? Is he good enough for the first team?

He would be a good squad player and by the end of the season compete for a starting position. He shouldn't be sent on loan

I think you're right, vish. Sterling and Markovic won't play every game, and he offers a very like for like replacement.

If he can improve his finishing he could be one of the best in the league in a few years. Could do a job for us this year in the FA cup and league cup and maybe the odd league game, but I wouldn't be too annoyed if he went out on loan to somewhere like Southampton or Swansea and got some PL experience

I think he's good enough for the first team as an impact sub, but what really helped Raheem kick on was experience in the top flight. I think Ibe needs that. Will he get it at LFC this season? Maybe a loan would help. Southampton would be a good shout. Their fans deserve a few good players after all the ones leaving.

They can stump up a loan fee then.

He looked quality but his decision making and final pass and or finishing let him down. He was much more of a menace than. Borini who looked as ordinary as he did before last seasons loan.

surely what happens to him will depend on whos else is coming in to the team. if his going to stay at liverpool and play 10 games i would much rather he goes to another pl team and plays 20 games plus
