we need a new CB and LB desperately (we could also do with a RB but I'd play Flano there this season) if we get a CB that takes control of the defenders that would help, Loveren has been targeted for this reason, a new left back is a must and we shouldn't take the cheap option. Add these three things together and we should be fine, plus 15 from a striker, plus 10 from midfield and minus 15 from only conceding 35 next season. For those reasons I'm not that concerned about Suarez leaving us, we aren't a one man team and we have much greater squad depth next season.
I don't agree. New centre backs will still play the way that BR wants them to, which is a risky ball retention method. Granted we let in 50 goals, but if we'd let in just 2 fewer (albeit against City) then we'd be champions. Goals conceded is only a problem if you aren't scoring loads.
That said, another centre back for depth wouldn't hurt....just as long as it isn't david luiz or bruno martins indi!!!!! That Janmaat chap looked superb against Argentina.....hope he doesn't end up at newcastle.
