It's not just the goals we are going to miss. How many times did he dive in the box to gift Gerrard easy goals, the amount of assists, his workrate, creativity etc You're looking at replacing 60+ goals. It's not doable.

Selling 1 of the top 3 strikers in the world and signing mid-table duds like Lambert and Bony makes us look ridiculous.

Have to agree with you tbh, not sure he would fit in now but part of me would like to see how he would do here again. If he was offered for peanuts and lower wages it would tempting though. eek
