The only thing that would leave a bitter taste (for me) would be if and it's a BIG if, it came out that Suarez' representatives had secretly agreed a deal with Barcelona and the biting incident was just a way of forcing Liverpool's hand on the issue only for FIFA (who are in cahoots with Barcelona) to then magically remove Suarez ban or drastically reduce it once the sale has gone through.

It's getting all a bit too conspiracy theory now though. If you never hear from me again it's because the FBI have come crashing in through my door two mins after posting this! POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

The rumour is his ban will be reduced to 1 month of football activity and 5 International games.

I really hope that happens. Whatever money we get for him, it will be hugely irrelevant compared to the amount of money that he would earn the club over the next 4 years. £60, £70 or £80m won't replace what he gives to the team, not by a million miles.

With someone like Ian Ayre pulling the strings at Anfield, this wouldn't surprise me in the least.
