Sevilla have history of slowing transfers down. It took city ages to get negredo and agree a fee for him. The worst thing that could happen is to let fsg loose with the suarez money if he leaves.

Yeah, we’ll probably end up with 80m worth of hopefuls

Sometimes hopefuls can pay off. Coutinho and maybe sturridge.maybe mignolet.

When it doesn't your left with;
Alberto asaps Assaidi Coates borini the list goes on. That's 30 + million there. What's the point. May as well just pay for a first team signing and he'd probably play more than those players I just named put together

Not quite so JP...Borini and Alberto were both bought for the future, so to say they haven't worked out yet, is not fair. We can recoup what we spnt on them anyway. Assaidi we will make money on.

They'll both be gone ninja and if they do stay they'll be collecting wages sitting on the bench and playing in the carling cup. They would t get in any of the other top 3 teams.

Goodnight.

Borini is going nowhere, sorry to break that to you. And yes, he will sit on the bench, but not just collecting wages. He will work hard in training and fight for his place. With time he will either earn it, or not.

Chicharito wouldn't walk into the starting line up at any of the top 3 either.

Lukaku had to be loaned out from Chelsea

Surely you agree, we should be moulding young strikers for the future whilst we have our strongest strikers playing in the 1st 11. Whats wrong with Danny and Suarez being Starters and Rickie and Fabio on the bench, with Fabio learning his trade from the 3 of them?

You've just confirmed what I've said. Players should always work hard in training. Wether to stay in the team or to get into it. Give me 60,000 a week and I'll go and work hard.

If there willing to sit on the bench then good for them. They'll eventually be bombed out. Like all the others that have had no impact and collected big wages.

You woke me up last time. Zzzzzzz.

I am not defending the lack of ambition in the transfer market up to January at all but taking KP's point about needing at least two WC players between £25 and £40 million a pop we would be way over the £100 million mark in one window with the others who look lined up and have already come in. Sorry but with spending and with what has already taken place in the 3 year cycle we will be crucified by the ruling bodies.

Like it or not this is going to have to be spread over a longer time frame and those are the facts however unpleasant it is or that it appears to let FSG off the hook to a certain degree.

Only way I see it happening is if there is a bare bones leap in quality with a lot shown the door and a gamble on fitness, or another bout of insane Rogers transfer creativity with loans, frees, punts and WC players all thrown in the mix!

Not straight forward by any means.

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

It makes for an interesting window. I think Toure was a great find. I would be happy if we could get another player of his quality like that. If nothing else, his quality shows in training and the youngsters can learn so much from him. Also his leadership is fantastic. He was very impressive in the first third of the season but unfortunately made a few errors thereafter. Either way,i am positive the club is benefiting from his presence.

He is a very poor mans carragher. He tries bless his cotton socks but he's past it. He's probably on big wages. I'd like to see him go along with Moses cissoko and reina

I would have thought Borini is ideal as back-up. Young, hungry, able to improve, happy to fight for his place.
The 4 strikers we now have makes for a very strong squad.

The one player I'd like to see is an attacking midfielder/winger. I'd be happy if they spent the bulk of the budget on one big signing, along with Lambert, Can, Moreno. That's probably 60m+.

Any other buys will depend on sales I guess.
