Sorry I am more than likely wrong but I thought Walcott (and his dad) are Gooner fans.....that's why he went there. Probably wrong.....wouldn't be the first time.

I would welcome Barry, Mido, and Lennon but my preference would be to get Ribery (anythings possible if the player wants to come here) and Barry. People need to remember that there was alot of pundits that said we couldn't afford Torres cause everyone was after him and the price will be pushed up too high. We got him and if Ribery wants to come here we have a good chance of getting him too.

Todays press are linking us with kuba the polish winger and Santa Cruz.
I seriously doubt Lennon will leave Spurs after signing a new contract and wanting playing time to get into the England team.

Think Big Sam would sell Santa Cruz to an "arrogant" manager?!

I'd have him though (after Kevin Doyle smile )

Kuba is short for his real name and he plays for Dortmund I think. He plays on the right wing and can operate on both wings.
We were linked with him last season as well.
Think he could be similar to Reira.

I would hardly say Barry, Santa Cruz and Silva are past it and on the way down. We still need to get players that are experienced, we can't just go after youngsters.

David Silva is 23 and not even close to being the finished article.

And the reason to buy finished articles is to win NOW.

Walcott is definitely a Liverpool fan.

Has Ribery ever mentioned wanting to play for Liverpool?

And Gareth Barry is not of the calibre of player we should be looking at.

Not sure if Ribery has said he wants to play with us but I'm sure if he was approached he could certainly be convinced. We have a bright future, are a BIG club, regular CL appearances and have lots of success. Why would he say no?? Unless it was dollars?

Gareth Barry is a useful player to have in our squad cause you need depth to win in the comps we are in. He isn't the answer to our prayers, he just gives us options as he plays differently to all of our current midfielders.
