It's not the defenders, it's the way we're set up to attack that leaves the deffence exposed. Another top Mid would be first on my list to bulk up the squad. If we had the right defenders the system would work. Not sure it's all about our defenders, they are just too exposed. We rather needed a DM to play alonside SG. JA and JH are good but we need better, I won't even talk about Lucas who has been dreadful.

Imagine Kompany and Zabaletta played for Liverpool and Johnson and Skrtel played for Man City. I don't think it would even be close. We really need to strenghten these two positions. If we do I'm convinced we'll win the league.
Midfielders would be helpful too yes. Not a defensive midfielder though, we only play with 1 and Gerrard has been superb. Lucas as backup for him is fine but no way Allen and Lucas should be regulars in the team and as well as Henderson has been he shouldn't be a Guaranteed starter every game he should have some real competition for the place

Also need a 3rd top striker, can't rely on just Suarez and Sturridge with the extra europe games - michu maybe? If he could put his injuries behind him Would suggest Boner - ehrm - I mean Bony instead there!

lucas should not wear a Liverpool shirt again,he confuses the game play,causing freekicks around the box always.......and bombing forward with the last two games,wots up with that?

While I agree that we need better, I can see how much better they have grown, and next year I can see them being even better and much more experienced, which will be invaluable. For me, like you said, we need a DM to play alongside Gerrard, and two good full backs. We need a DM like Wanyama, who is good at getting in the way, and pushing attackers out to the line, not allowing them space through the middle. That's where decent full backs will be able to track back and help.

There should been a DM bought in jan it was so obvious we needed one but we never and when we had no Hendo we paid the piper against chelski and palace ! absolute feck up that was , but we were never expected to be title challengers so given the lack of quality player purchases at key times we did exceptionally well !
Ninja will say he said we would win the title so he expected us to be where we were well I said we could too but only if we bought the right players but I didn't expect us to be so close with no quality buys to speak of, which makes it all the more despicable we didn't buy some class! Well it's over now so we look forward with great expectation to next season let's hope we get the class players we need in the summer! well done reds and BR despite FSG ynwa The player we missed was Salah who was our first choice. Would we have won the leage with him, don't think so. BR didn't seem interested in a DM, I think he will now.

More control in midfield is what we need, Lallana will provide that. I thought we spent 15m on Allen for that.. I hope Lallana doesnt happen to be another overpriced English tranfer.I hope not
