oh and if walcott could pass or cross he would be a good player .... but at least he can run very fast in a straight line! will work well at arsenal because they have creative players to feed him the ball at the right times.... wouldn't for us because we don't have that

i dunno, i think he just needs to be coached, a bit like aaron lenno at spuds ....... he was crap till he finally got some decent coaching on how to cross a ball and to stop running quite so fast when the ball is at his feet .... once they stop going full pelt they have more control over their feet and can use the ball better

sometimes being lightning quick can affect them mentally, they learn to rely on it ..... a bit like an untrained fighter with a knife - they forget they have other weapons and just concentrate on the one thing and become easier to deal with

Doyle is a very average Premiership forward who works his cotton socks off but lacks touch, pace, creativity and has no killer instinct in the box.

Whenever I've seen him I've been impressed with his work rate but he lacks the class necessary to be a success at a high profile club such as LFC.

He is a poor mans Dirk Kuyt.

no emp - you are just closed minded and fail to look at anything with an open mind - you have decided he is fantastic and no matter how poor he is you will never see anything else

No Emp you're just a narrow minded fanatic.

Kuyt usually plays very well in the big games and has scored vital goals when it counts at the highest level. He is a regular Dutch international in an excellent team and if he left LFC would go to a quality team and the £8m we paid for him was excellent value for money. Kuyts work rate adds value to the overall team performance but he lacks a creative spark and vision to help us against the teams that defend deep at Anfield and lacks a bit of pace to play up-front for us on these occasions. Overall he is still an important player that adds extra to the team.

Doyle is a good professional, works very hard but lacks technically. I've rarely seen him create a goal for himself, score a special goal or create something really special. He has not got that killer instinct in front of goal either, against us for instance he missed a chance and has only scored 7 goals this season. When has he proved himself regularly against top opposition? Why did he go to Wolves when he left Reading? There are simply much better players available.

Emp, from the players you like, you'd be the next Graeme Souness like manager. They lack the quality to be successful at a high pressure club like LFC.

Possibly we should rename you Emperor Souness.

As for MON, I think he had more chance after Houllier to become our manager but the club chose Rafa, a good decision.

The article at the start of this post is spot on and does underline the his lack of quality impact at Villa. I'm not anti -MON but I think there are much better managers available should Rafa leave in the summer.

The Emperor Souness once again turns another post into a Rafa post... yawn

You need to see a phycho or is that shrink!

Actually the meaning of phycho is really much more apt, worth looking in the dictionary for our non-native speakers.

Kuyt may be many things but he is not crap, he may not have the creativity we need against teams that come to defend, but in many big games he has been there and delivered, just proves that you dont really watch LFC much or dont understand the game...cant quite decide which...
