If all else fails say that word outstanding a couple of times. The more you do the more you will believe your own spin.

First of all- Suarez did not ball in front of the cameras. He covered his face - in shame, in embarrassment, in anger??? Who knows - but he's allowed to have a human response. He's allowed to be passionate - that's who he is and how he plays.

Secondly - Many great players have shed tears or shown emotion on the pitch. Even hard-men like John Terry do it. To make an issue of it in Suarez's case is just pathetic.

Thirdly - The days of football being ruled by 'ard men, Oi punk and one dimensional geezers is long gone. You want the prem to be the best league in the world? Then you have to allow for the Latin temperament and other global differences.

Lastly, I'd rather see a player like Suarez show some spirit and some culpability for what was a dreadful collapse on the pitch. His defence have been hijacking all his and Studge's good work all season - so why can't he express disappointment or frustration. Would you rather he didn't care? Would you rather he were a soul-less oaf like Rooney?

Exactly, do you want drilled robots or humans who actually have passion for the game. They were all disheartened as this result hinders our chance of winning the EPL.

I feel like some football fans have a primitive mindset, especially highlighted by their attempt to seem masculine.

Yeah good sensible post Kop, and your points are well made. We need a bit more mutual respect, balance and common sense from some posters on this forum. We can disagree with each other and that goes to make an interesting and lively forum, but we should be able to do it without foul mouthed and abusive language, there’s no need for that.
