but we all knew our winning streak would come to an end soon because we had won so many that probability was going to play a part. im just saying that city have only 5 in a row once this season.

Haha. I know what you mean. laugh

But if you have just got a 6 on a dice throw. What's the probability of getting a 6 again?

And what's the probability of getting 2 6'ers on a row?

Look lads, the league was ours to drop and we lost our grip, but we're still on top. I'll take 3 points on the board over a game in hand any day. City have choked every time the league was theirs to lose, and I can see them dropping points in any 3 of these games. Even a draw would be enough. I haven't lost faith yet.

Probability is about what might happen in the future not about what's already happened. They need to win three games in a row not five or six. I don't think they will anyway.

So when we had won 8 and we needed to win the next 6 to win the league, you don't think it's highly unlikely that we could win those 6? History and probablity come into play every day in life. When a team is on a record breaking streak it is highly likely that the streak will come to an end very soon.

Looking at the recent history of City and their opponents I find it highly unlikely they will win out. But we'll soon know if I'm right or not.
