you say that so sarcastically but at the beggining of the season you agreed with your dear friend Joe Cool Flaming Lips or whatever his name was...Now you are trying to pretend like you were never a doom and gloomer...

I seem to remember arguing with joe cool saying we had a chance of fourth albeit unlikely which was the position of most. No one predicted where we would be including you. Your approach is to be optimistic about everything and claim to be Nostradamus when one comes off and ignore when you got it wrong

If we don't lose on Sunday then we will win the title. I do have my own fears that this could be a one off season as I do think teams around us will strengthen significantly and United will be back in the race. However I think with the signing of 2 or 3 world class players then we will be regular title contenders for years to come.

I never finish anythi

Tend to agree Woolsey, but I think we will need to add some more squad depth in addition to the 2 or 3 world class players you mention. If we’re to compete in all competitions next season, we’re far from a 25 man PL squad we’ll need, as things stand. And then we need to divest some of the rubbish ‘potentials' we brought in over the last two seasons. So far this season we’ve taken advantage of an amazing series of slip-up’s by our competitors, and credit to the players and Rodgers for that, however I hate to have to rely on a rerun of this amazing season with a threadbare squad again next year. And 60m won’t be enough to address that, and have us competing across the board imo.

We have plenty of young players coming back from loans though as well who can fill in gaps in the squad

Hope you’re right Maxi, but I fear few of them are good enough, to cover when we’re competing the CL, PL and the Cups, anyway time will tell I suppose.

We do not need to beat Chelsea to stay in the driving seat, a draw will be enough. If we cannot at least draw at Anfield to me it will mean that we are not good enough to be champions. However, should we lose but still finish champions it would just mean that were better than others in a very competitive league.

Actually I predicted top 3, and after the abuse I suffered on here from some people, i think i have every right to say "I told you so!" Because I had faith in the team. I predicted 81-85 points if i remember correctly, and i think that's exactly where we will be.
All I ever said and I am saying it again, so many on here undervalue our squad and think we are not good enough. Well the squad has proven that to be wrong!

Also, after the bull i listened to about match going fans and non match going fans, I have every right to point out the fact that despite the fact I am an OOT, I showed more belief and passion for LFC than so many of the local fans. Just goes to show, it makes no difference where a fan is from.

Anyways, the point is, Chelsea has no weakened team, if anything, their biggest miss will be Ramires, but they will be fielding a very strong outfit, but so will we, we will be missing Hendo though and it will be a tight affair, but we can grab the win!

You told us many things Marko all of them optmistic. When one pays off you boast to us and ignore all the others. But if that makes you happy and less insecure whom I am too argue?

The maximum number of points that we need to be certain of the title at this stage, is 87. Anything lower and we are relying on 2 excellent clubs to slip up against rather poor opposition. We won't have a better chance than this....next season City will have spent another £100m and Pellegrini will be more settled in this country and with his players. Chelsea will probably have spent a similar amount and Jose will be reshaping his squad. Plus we will have considerably more games to play next year. We need to do 'whatever' it takes on sunday.....
