He's had a year away to adjust on a weekly basis to this league. The lad's quick and capable. I see no reason why BR won't develop the lad into a decent player if he has it to work as hard as Sterling. Don't think he is near Sterling's skills on the ball, his strength is mainly his speed but without the ball. Ummm, funny that, as almost every manager who he has ever played under including at international level has praised his technical ability, which translates to skills "on the ball". No point discussing it really, a year ago you were all slating Skrtel and Henderson. Now Henderson has created more goal scoring chances for us than Stevem gerrard has, all of a sudden evryone likes Henderson. Since Skrtel has played a blinder this season, everyone loves ol' Ninja Skrtel... I despise fans whose views change as the wind blows, but I guess that is just the typical fan these days. Not all are like that, but unfortunately, even amongst LFC fans that group has started to emerge as a majority. It's sad. Oh, and apart from Carheex,i think most on here could see what Hendo offered us. Thats a load of rubbish Lumba. Come on, people on here were having goes at hendo left, right and centre. Few did back the guy and defend him, saying he is still young and he has the potential, but the majority labelled him a waste of money. I think he is worth every cent of that 20 mil we paid for him and he will only get better. It's the same with Borini, he will only get better, and once he starts performing for us, people will all of a sudden say what a great player he is and what a bargain he actually was and a coup for Rodgers. Trust me, the boy will come good. He is an intelligent and hard working footballer just like Hendo.

I think back then it was more a case of bashing Kenny because of the price tag rather than the Dominator himself. I see nothing in Borini or Aspas that will change my mind on them.
That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

Aspas was by far the biggest disappointment.

I always said that Skrtel pairing with Agger was one of the best in the league under KD and his problem was adapting to BR system. In fact all our defenders have had problems with BR's system. I also always said that Hendo would come good and even had the potential of becoming a Lampard who became great more through intense hard work than inherent skills. Regarding Borini, my opinion is that he will be a good back up player but I don't see him becoming a world beater or prolific. I would be glad to be proven wrong.

I like Boroni. He is a decent player, think he just needs to be playing in a system that suits his style. He's more of a poacher/run on to the ball type player. He won't be the type to set up goals for himself too often. He kind of reminds me of Hernandez from United, but not as prolific in front of goal. Think we should give him a chance next season, especially with Coutinho gaining more experience and being able to potentially thread ball for him to run on. Not a bad back up striker, Maybe 4th choice.
Would love another striker on the level of Sturridge to really put some fear into the opposition. If these Benzema rumours are true, then someone like that could take us up a level. Any player, such as Remi, Jay Rodriguez, Muriel or even a cheeky bid for Lukaku. I think that it'll give us a bit of a psychological boost over our rivals next season, knowing that we already have a killer strike force, but have someone in the wings ready to rip them apart as well, no rest for them.

We lack a skillful physical striker upfront as an option. Lukaku would be fab and Bony ain't a bad choice too. Borini would definitely be useful as a backup. Much more so than what Aspas can offer at the moment.

The problem with having a big physical target man, is the team tend to resort to just lumping it long all afternoon.
If we'd kept Carroll we'd still be struggling with how Rodgers wants us to play.

From the games I have watched him play for Sunderland, he has been one of the better players on the field. Good runs and pace. Would not mind seeing him back in red next season.

if Borini had someone like Coutinho in that sunderland team threading him through balls, he would have scored a lot more goals. As it stands he's pretty much holding the team on his back with his work rate and his extra touch of quality within a largely championship quality team. Didn't he have Coutinho in his team last year or he had already left? Not sure.
