The Damned United was a great football film and I thought that Michael Sheen really portrayed Clough exceptionally well. Escape to a Victory however, I did not enjoy as much. Although I love Michael Caine, it just seemed like a ludacris plot to me and I also hear that Stallone was meant to have been a real douche to work with. I actually enjoyed Goal quite a bit but absolutely hated the sequels as they were again, much too ridiculous! My biggest problem with sports movie is the craziness of some of the plot lines. However I did love Cool Runnings!
Damned United was very good.
