Not lucky enough to get to Anfield every week but just wondering what you guys think of Phil now that he has been at the club almost a season and a half?

Pre season he was being compared to Beardsley and even King Kenny but to me he has been quite a disappointment. He does have some flashes of brilliance but too often seems to give the ball away and very often seems to be a non factor in games.

The media seems to think he was a bargain at 7-8 million but I'm not so sure. Does he have what it takes to make it at the highest level?

He seems to work hard so I think he has a chance of becoming a consistent player although watching someone like Koke theres definitely an upgrade on him but I do think for what we paid he has been a bargain.

he's still very young and he's been a game changer many times this season. I think sometimes we expect to much to soon from these young players, If he keeps working hard he will become a lot better.

he is a luxury player, a Deco or Van der Vaart, but he is fantastci for us, we have a lot of hardworking players with no end product like Allen Lucas and sometimes Hendo (who has learned how to pass) so to have him as that one who can run at defenders and find that pass he is very important for us....sometimes.

If we sell him today, we'll definitely get much more than what we'd paid for him. In that sense, he is a bargain. If he can be more consistent and show his highest level week in, week out, then he'll be one of our most important players.

I'd say the jury is out on him, which is disappointing considering the promise he showed in his first few months. For every game he's been excellent there's another were he's been anonymous. If I was the manager I'd only use him as a sub until he develops some consistency to his game. I'd find it hard to pick him in the hope that 'today' will be a good day for him.

He's a good player - he's young, be interesting to see how he develops. He came in last season in the January window and took a lot of opposing players by surprise - but either he's being constricted by a certain style of play (unlikely given the way we play) or he's reached a level and has gotten shy about setting a foot wrong. I dunno

To me he's a better Suso, but a Louis Garcia minus the goals. He could go either way career wise, but remains an integral part of our squad this season. Never second guess his inclusion in the team sheet. Especially at home.

If he could add a few more goals to his game through the next couple of seasons - add that consistency, then he could really become some player.

He has potential to be a world beater, people don't remember he's over 2 years younger than Henderson who himself still has plenty of potential. When he was 18 and 19 he was playing minuscule football so to judge him on the fact he has had a year and a half of consistent 1st team footy is ridiculous. Sterling isn't always consistent, does that mean we should write him off? Most definitely a bargain.
