Any keeper would have dropped that. How that wasn't a foul is beyond me. Correct. Migs is an excellent goalie anyway, but like ALL goalies, he blunders sometimes.

He seems to have gotten his confidence back and is making smarter decisions. Far better at patrolling his area and doesn't always look for the short pass. when the ball needs to be cleared up the park it goes up the park. He remains a top class shot stopper and is still young for a goalie so can work on dealing with crosses going forward. All in all I am very happy with him

Thing is, because the referee has acknowledged the hand by Carroll - there will be no punishment from the FA.
To be honest, we won - and I am happy with nothing happening.
*So long as that big b*gger takes points off City.

he is not soft, because he was fouled by that donkey who is a joke of a striker any way!!!
King Kenny did not think so and I heard from a good source (who knows Mike Ashley) that Newcastle valued him at £25m but they started negoatiations at £30m to see reaction and with a view to being beaten down to around £25m. The King offered £35m !

Think the whole West Ham goal was massively over hyped. Yes its a foul and shouldn't have been given, but for Jamie Redknapp to describe it as "borderline assault" - think that takes it a bit too far. There was a slight nudge on Carroll from Skrtel, but don't think that had any effect on Carroll's raised hand. Just hope a referee doesn't end up costing us the league title. Should be the football making the headlines, not the referee.

I'm not saying it was not a foul by Carroll or that the goal should have been given. Just wondering if Migs should have held on the ball spite the knock that he took.

no. If it was only a knock to the head he should have and he would have but Carroll smacks his arm and turns his hands which meant it dropped. Nothing he could do about it

Blatant foul , but he is weak on crosses , awesome shot stopper though. Ref's have to improve at the Premier level , they're getting worse with every season.
