No manager would want to go there if he can't buy any players for two years, plus they are not exactly the force that they were two years ago. are you crazy. no manager? one of the biggest and most respected teams in the world with the likes iniesta, xavi and a little short guy called messi ( possibly the best player to ever play the game) why would ANY manager in there right mind want to go there? Maybe they'll go for Moyes, he's known to work well on a budget...

Xabi and Iniesta aren't getting any younger, Puyol's last season, Valdes out for God knows how long. No team can compete at the highest level without reinforcements. Won't be an easy job for any manager except perhaps the Great Moyes himself.

Let's not be nieve. Barcelona will appeal and the sentence will be suspended for 3 years. This is a shot across the bows of all big clubs.

If you appeal a red card, and are unsuccessful, doesn't the ban get extended? Should be the same with this

If you appeal a red card, and are unsuccessful, doesn't the ban get extended? Should be the same with this Appeal the severity if the ban not the ban itself. First offence and all that. I would put money on it. Barca are not the only club to entice young players outside of the rules.

I'm still not quite sure what they've actually done wrong. It sounds like a bunch of technicalities in contracts and recent rules that have been applied. No where can I find what they have supposedly done...something about players who are minors, playing when they shouldnt have been or something?
I wouldn't like to see Barcelona being made an example of for something that most other clubs do, from what I can gather. At the end of the day, they are club who's success is based on home grown talent and playing good football. I much prefer Barcelona over the billionaire gallactico's of Real Madrid. Any club who paid Unicef to be on the front of their shirt for so many years, is alright in my book. I understand that they were not supposed to buy kids from outside Spain, there is an age limit to buy foreigners.
