another fine mess

Martin Jol winner of the 1996–97: KNVB Cup Winner - Roda JC as a manager,can we sign him up?!!!

I cant believe people want Martin Jol at Anfield. Lets look at his notable coaching job in England -

Spurs(2004–2007) - Spurs didnt move beyond mid-table mediocrity fighting for 7th-8th. His biggest achievement was probably spending 16.5mil to get Darren Bent to White Hart Lane.

Martin jol improved spurs a great deal in the time he was there. Ask any spurs fan you know, most I know didnt want him to go. as already mentioned hes doing a good job at ajax

he took over in the middle of the 04/05 season and they finished 8th or 9th. but in the following two seasons they finished 5th. food poisoning on the last day of 05/06 cost them the champions league spot. he also lead hamburg to uefa cup semi finals last season.

not my favorite to replace rafa but im sure he could do a very good job.

Dirk Kuyt at Feyenoord was pumping in 20+ goals in the Dutch League while here.. lets just say he is not amongst the goals. So comparing leagues is not really fair.
Martin Jol signings at Spurs...Danny Murphy,Darren Bent,Ghaly,Routeledge,Stalteiri,Rasiak..so not exactly a miser with his money which he wont have a lot of at Anfield.

I just think he did well getting 5th every season with a team nowhere near as good as ours who were fighting for a top half finish most years before he went there. they got rid of him and bought ramos and we all know what happened with him. Then big harry has come in and just signed all the players that ramos sold that were there under Jol. So now they are back to where they were about 3 or four seasons ago when he left. only reason they are challenging for fourth is because we are so poor.

For me maureen is my dream choice
