Can't resist going to redcafe these days. Thought I'd share as some of the comments are quite hilarious. Sorry if its rather long but no one has to read against his will. The thread title is:
How will you deal with it when Pool win the league?
-The writing is on the wall, a perfect storm is close to landing. The result looks like it will be Liverpool winning the league. Cue Stevie G running around and the Pool loving media fawning all over how the "great club" is back in its rightful place. Sky/BT Sports and the likes have been beefing up their scouser analysts and "experts" in anticipation of the horrible day.

Today defeat for Chelsea at Palace was the final straw for me, with Pool having no European commitments their squad just has to focus on 8 more games to get the league. A few draws against the big teams at home and the league just might be theirs.

It just wont feel right seeing them as champions, its almost making me support City for a few weeks.
-I've been preparing for awhile now. Its just so obvious that Moyes' failure wont be complete without Liverpool back on their perch, they're destined to do it.

I'm not sure how I'm gonna react really. A mixture of trying to hide from the reality and disbelief. 27 years to knock them off their perch and, as soon as Fergie goes, they're back on it with 6 points help from Moyes' Man Utd.
- They won't. It'll be City. Which will be bad enough but not as bad as seeing Stevie G lift the trophy.

That will be the worst thing I've ever seen. I really, really want him to retire having never won it.
-I will first smash the TV, Ill then smash my phone so I don't have to hear about it. Ill then smash my laptop with all my dissertation work on so I don't have to read about it.
-The thought iself makes me sick. If anything could make our season worse, its Pool winning the league.
-Imagine the smile on the face of Stevie G, Carragher on Sky.....Brenton being smug telling is all how he did it. I think I need a sick bag already.
-They and they're fans don't deserve it. Just think of the bad poetry that will ensue, I'm not sure I want to live in a world like that
-I've got my Mam knitting my half scarf back together that I tore up during the week. Cant be having Liverpool winning the league.
-I'd probably have a mental breakdown. It just can't and I repeat, it can not happen. Not in a million years.
-I'll move house and leave South Wales. I'll change my name and try to become as untraceable as humanly possible.
-Liverpool are going to win it unfortunately, it's the perfect ending to our miserable season.
-If it's not City, it will be Liverpool - or vice versa.

It's a bit like making a choice between having a red hot poker in your eye or your arse.
- That's the worst thing about it - Chelsea or City winning it is hollow; it's only happened because of the money they've been gifted by their owners. There's nothing for their fans to be proud of there, whether they recognise it or not.

When Liverpool win the league then that is an amazing achievement that every single person associated with the club can be proud of. That is much, much worse to deal with as a rival fan.

-I'm 100% convinced they'll win it
-Blame Fergie.
- Not Moyes ? Or are they sharing the blame ?

-That defeat at home is going to haunt us all summer isn't it ?
-Scousers are fecking unbearable at the best of times, if they've actually got something to show off about I might have to leave the country for a while.
-They've basically won it. I'm in acceptance stage now.
-Which betting sites are offering the best odds on this inevitably happening? May as well make some money.
-Start preparing guys.
-Christ, I actually have to want City to win the league?
-

Do all the people saying they can't win it actually believe this, or are they just desperately trying to reassure themselves?

Either way they need to wake up and smell the coffee, Liverpool will be champions this season. It makes me feel a bit sick to even think about it.

- Depressing thought (and soon reality probably).

At least that cnut Carragher retired before he won it.

I'd have Carragher win it a hundred times before Gerrard. Carragher was dispicable scum, but in a kind of traditional, honest way. Gerrard is the most underhand, fake cnut of a person in football - I actually hate him more than Terry or possibly even Suarez.

-I'll go home, become an alcoholic and maybe jump off a bridge.
-

We have to keep things in perspective.

Stop following football, and not leaving the house for 3-4months should do it

-In my job, I've wiped off countless fingerprints from the Premier League trophy. I've lifted it more times than Giggs, Scholes, Ferguson and all combined. No amount of rubbing and polishing will ever be able to wipe away the memory of Suarez and Gerrard getting their fingers on it. It simply cannot be allowed to happen. I'd prefer City to win it any day of the week.
-

It is a sickening thought, even for an Irish fan. United and Liverpool are probably the two most supported clubs over here so I would have to face a lot more of their fans than I have with any other club. The fact so many of the pundits are former Liverpool fans as well is another issue. We wouldn't even be able to devalue their achievement because the truth is if they win they deserved it. At least if City win you can justify to yourself with all the money they spent. Liverpool haven't spent a lot of money and they play good football so you'd have to respect the achievement, begrudgingly of course. Here's hoping it doesn't come to that
-I've accepted it, in truth I did a few weeks back, the God's have made their decision. It only makes sense that as soon as Fergie steps down Liverpool go back on top, if the story of Man United/Liverpool was a Hollywood story, Liverpool winning the league is the fitting end.
Sometimes the Footballing Gods make these decisions and we must accept them, it's going to be a revolting day that May afternoon but if we start preparations now it might not be so bad plus we can still sing "Twenty Times".
-I will bang my ceremonial gong to mark the end of the United era.

O, how sweet it all was!
-Half tempted to put a fair amount of money on them to win the league.

That way, if they do win it, I'll be able to dry my tears with money.
-Honestly don't know how you can say that. From the interests of football and what's right sure. But as a United fan? Liverpool winning the league the season after Ferguson leaves would have acolossal impact on the premier league, and in particular United and Liverpool.

You may not remember what Liverpool were but they were a giant. Them winning the league could be a catalyst for domination. They're currently a sleeping giant just like United were, and our empire is crumbling right now, just like Liverpools did in the late 80s.
-Avoid sports news sites, block comments on youtube videos, watch streams with foreign commentaries next season, and disappear on social networks. Try your best to not remember that it happened. As Noam Chomsky says, "If we choose, we can live in a world of comforting illusion."
- Liverpool to win it but I die five minutes before they do . I really do not want to live in a world where that happens again .

-It won't happen and if it did I'll assume I am temporarily living in some sort of parallel universe and that it didn't happen in my home reality.
-Anyone but Liverpool please. City and Pellegrini, please do not feck this up.
-I'm not sure I could bear it . There are already a troubling amount of Liverpool shirts on show whenever we go to Tesco
-

The way I see it, if they don't win the title this season, they'll never win it again. Witnessing them screwing up that chance would be sweet, but there's an air of inevitability about them winning it. The dippers winning the title at the end of this nightmare of a season would be fitting.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST
-how will the world deal with it!?.. the 12th sign of the apocalypse specifically states.. "when the 11 scousers of the apocalypse raise the silver chalice high above their heads, the sky will turn black, the seas will boil, the earth will become a sea of molten lava and the dead will rise from their graves. At this point, no one will be saved. The evil Rodgers will stand menacingly on the perch of mankind. All that was good and holy will be lost. The worlds end will be near!" Or something like that..

Nostradamus was very specific about the return Beelzebub, "the evil army that never walks alone will descend on mankind, killing women and children, eating the hearts of their victims. No one will be left out of the slaughter. The evil one will rise again. Only a band of righteous red devils can save the world from scouse domination.."

Only one man can save us

So its pretty clear that its a devastating event that has serious impacts for mankind..

Of course we hate their guts. This season, at least, we will have the last laugh.
