we all knew that there was little chance of spit giving city a fight. they've been consistently bad this season. my view therefore is that continued bad results for spit is in our long term interests. the pressure will just grow on them and Moyes. the rebuilding job there is going to be huge. They're going to have to spend huge money and we know from many examples that throwing money at the problem doesn't guarantee anything.

in addition, City winning at the moment and keeping a pace with Chelsea is also good for us. My personal view is that our best chance to win it is to 'nick it' near the end. that means beating both City & Chelsea at home and then city dropping points thereafter. Ironically - at Goodison perhaps.

I also think arsenal have a better chance of taking some points off city on Saturday.

They are so bad even Demichelis looks good against them.

Delusional

ever heard of Jimmy Greaves? football is a funny ole game... teams fighting for survival are perhaps more likey to offer significant resistance than spit were going to tonight.

this united team is finished. they're over the hill in terms of mental strength and motivation. the years of playing under Fergie's strict regime have taken their toll with most players, whether deliberately or not, slacking off under Moyes.

So I for one am not giving up on an unexpected twist in the run - one in our favour.

exactly. Fergie left no legacy. They talk of continuity but Moyes came in and got rid of Fergie's backroom staff. Their only option now is to spend, spend, spend... something that will be a huge risk with a manger at the helm who has no track record in managing big players or winning trophies.
