Is it though?

We've got players like Allen, Alberto, Aspas, Toure, Flanno and even the long but not forgotten Kelly! We have been complaining, freaking out or just being a tiny tiny but worried about these players in our squad. But tbh, after this season and seeing what Rodgers is trying to do, really, who gives a flying fukk? From now, and what I've seen from the season, Rodgers has shown me, that maybe, just maybe, he might actually just be a few steps ahead of us when it comes to players and tactics.

I guess what I'm trying to ask is, do you now pass it over to Rodgers and say, go for gold and take us with you....or.... I'm not too sure yet..... or better yet, who the fukk knows???
I, for myself, believe that he know's I few things that i don't. And for the first time in a few years, I like the surprise!

Allen and Flanno are assets imo and Toure was brought as a back up and had a good start to the season but injuries meant he had to step up more often than he should have. Alberto and Aspas are probably not up to it. Its harder to tell with Alberto considering his age but he has never really taken a game by the scruff when he got his chances. Teixeira looks a better option imo from his cameo against Fulham (small sample size aside).

I think tactically and as a man manager, rodgers is superb and I have believed that from early enough on last season. I think he possibly needs input from others, as most managers probably do, on help with transfers. Overall he has built up a good squad, although still in progress with a few areas needing either squad depth or first XI calibre players

Rodgers has grown as a manager as well in the last year in his dealings with the media. He is less fond of grand statements and it puts less pressure on the team imo. Its possibly the sign of a man more comfortable in his own position now

rodgers is a legend in fairness. learning as he goes he has done stupid things and said stupid things but corrects himself.Think his attacking philosophy gives him scope to be wrong about things and change them rather than be narrow minded stubborn i am right u are wrong nonsense that sees clubs destroyed.

we never used to score from corners now u expect to.
we are now a world class side, and he is only started putting the squad together . 3 or 4 more quality signings and we are off on an era of domination

I understand and respect this, but I cant help but think that Rodgers has handled this situation very well to date, that he has got his players giving their all for his vision. I can't think otherwise with the small squad that he has at his disposal.

i still dont expect to score from corners and its way to early to call us a world class team.

Then we might as well close down all websites Facebook pages and stop talk about football in the workplace and the pub and leave everything to Rodgers. Don't understand the point you are making

Oh Stanley, I've hada few few lovely brews, so maybe I don't! But what I think I'm trying to say is: We get kept on whinging about Allen and Flanno, and praising how good Toure was at the start of the season, so I'm asking, should we just be happy with what we have now that we see that they're not so bad, are we underestimating them? Is our team better than we think, or are we just punching above our weight? Should we just celebrate every time we're at the pub Stan?

Yeah..,,,

Er...,

I think I see what you are saying (probably) lets just enjoy this season and hope we don't foul up in the last few months and take it from there. If we are in the champions league come may then them brews will taste all the nicer

Trust me, I really do like a good brew or 6, but I'm saying that maybe all the whinging about Allen and Flano, not to mention a few other players is silly because they aren't actually as bad as they are made out to be. Are supporters finally happy (ish) or is it still a hopeless cause with the players we have?

Allen has been unlucky with injuries. He played very well at the start of last season, picked up a shoulder injury and his performances dropped as a result. He puts in a good shift when he plays and is technically very proficient. He, along with Henderson, have to improve their finishing but that will hopefully improve with time. Flanno has improved far beyond my expectations for him and its great to see. Rodgers, and his coaching staff, seem to be very good at improving players so that bodes well for the future as well
