My jury on Borini is still out, but not pushed if we bring him back or not. I have my doubt's if he’ll ever be Liverpool first team quality. I think we should signing a proven striker as backup in the summer, and stop messing around with these hopefuls.

I think the question is, would all the good work and confidence building he's done be lost if he had to go back to the bench for us. He'll never be our first choice striker.

It'll be difficult to sign a proven striker to sit on the bench though, wouldn't it?

You are right, no top striker a lot of posters here want us to buy, would like to warm the bench. They might agree to compete to play though, but again, can't see us buying expensive and pay high wages for any player who could be sitting on the bench. I think therefore that Borini will be given his chance, mainly because he is on low wages and might do a job.

The best we could do for I striker (I think anyway) would be someone like Remy. Relatively cheap, decent goalscorer, and we'd be a significant step up enough that he might be ok on the bench.

Other than that, I'd like to see more of Aspas and Borini.
