Just reading the Sunday mail and it says two things both grim to me.

One that if Liverpool qualify for the champions league Rodgers is to be given £60m to develop the team does not sound much ? Given the numbers we need to bring in and shows a slight lack of ambition

Second the ground is likely to delayed 2 years before a planning application due to legal problems over 4 houses

On the good news front Rodgers is to be offered a new three year contract

Don't think we can afford to spend much more than 60m with FFP. The stadium development is really bad news if true.

There is talk of Moyes being given £200m and us at £60m says it all. It today's market £60m buys you just one player if you are talking about signing the best as opposed to the Aspas of this world.

Our revenues are nowhere comparable to theirs, this is why we can spend only a third of theirs, it's not FSG's fault as you love to think.

Liverpool face a two-year delay in their bid to expand Anfield after it emerged the city council are preparing for legal action against the owners of the four remaining houses that have frustrated the club’s plans.

The council continue to negotiate with the homeowners and are cautiously optimistic that deals can still be struck, but they also accept that legal action may be necessary.

Should the cases go to court, the club would suffer serious delays before expansion work could begin on the famous stadium.

Can united really spend £200m without CL and still be inline FFP? Are their revenues really that much higher than ours?

That said I'd rather have BR spending 60m with the lure of CL than Moyes spending 200m with Europa at best
