Top 4 has always been our top priority this season, although we didn't deserve to lose to the arse today.

We played well couple bad misses but that happens could possibly got a pen when agger was snotted goalie didn't touch the ball only aggers head that's a foul and in the box a pen ? The Ox one on Suarez was a clearer peno.

Sturridge was off and Suarez is going through 'that patch' all strikers have. You can say that it was as simple as that but we were far too open at times and whilst I don't want to be too hard on the defence or team in general as we don't have the luxury of pulling WC players off the bench at a whim, this is one stat I don't like and needs sharpening up:
None of the top 13 teams have leaked more away goals than the Anfield outfit, who have now kept just one clean sheet in their last 12 Premier League away games.
Not sure Rogers can do much more than he has already in the centre of defence, but I'm hoping he can anyway!

I don't think it is about defenders but more the defensive system. BR is an offensive manager and likes open play with a lot of attacking players. We will continue to concede and his plan is to outscore the opponent. Maureen for eg would have gone to Arsenal to play defence and try to score on the counter, we went there to attack and had the most possession. With so many attacking players (6-7 if you count the full backs who are very often up the pitch) we need 2 DM, like Mascherano and Alonso days, but we play with one in Gerrard. Allen and Hedo are no DM.

We spent 25 mil, a freebie, and a loan on our defence and it's worse than last year ! Maybe it's not the players but the system! or we fecking need some decent midfielders ? how many games has our 1st choice back four played together?. its hard to say our defence is worse then last year because last year we didnt have as many injures

Defence has been the weakness of BR overall.

No arguments there, but to have 3 CBs and 3 FBs injured at the same time is highly unusual.
