Probably shouldn't have a go at people saying they don't know about their own club when you continuously get your facts wrong...
So back to Tom Ince. What could BR have done about that?
He seems to have improved the general play of several of the starting players and not just ones from the academy so I think its fair to say that he also deserves credit for their development. It is good to see a conveyor belt of good, potential players coming through the ranks now though

Every club manager should be working on two fronts simultaneously imo: the immediate targets for which he needs accomplished players at a level compatible with those targets, and a sound youth policy that will guarantee the long term future of the club. So far, Brendan Rodgers seems to be doing well on both fronts.

So far, Brendan Rodgers seems to be doing well on both fronts. Not with Aspas

So Fergie never made mistakes in the transfer market? As a whole the club from top to bottom is improving. A lot of that credit has to go to Rafa for his work in bringing in new coaches at the academy and top level talent. Kenny brought a few of those players in to the first team squad and BR has improved them again.

Credit goes only to the Academy I think. Sterling and Flanno are good players regardless of BR.
If there is any praise for BR then there is just as much criticism of not more for the players that he has failed. Tom Ince and Jonjo spring to mind.
Spearing was just not good enough. Championship player at best.
As for BR giving out debut's this is more because he has to rather than wanting to. I know it is good for the lads to get the opportunity, don't get me wrong but I'd rather have a bench of proven PL players, not trainees waiting to make the tea! would that be the same Tom Ince who left in 2011?

After Teixiera's little cameo last night, I've been thinking about all the yongsters who have progressed under our manager: Smith, Teixiera, Ibe, Suso, Coady, Sinclair, and Wisdom all have made their breakthrough appearances under Rodgers, and Sterling, Flanno, and Henderson have all improved massively under his guidance. What is he doing differently?
With perhaps the exceptions of Sterling and Kelly, as much as our academy was talked about, the impact on the first team was pretty woeful. Watching Pacheco flounder uselessly and never get in or cringing at the performances Flanno and Spearing gave while they were being used out of dire necessity under Kenny was disappointing.
Suso, Sterling, Flanno, and Wisdom have actually LOOKED like first team players recently, and Ibe and Teixiera look bright prospects. I'm really excited about these kids. I agree. I would say the youth scouts and coaches responsible for bringing these players to the club and getting them reading for the fringes of the first team should be given a promotion.... Oh wait...
