To have an owner like Abramovich, who is extremely passionate about his football would be good.

Abramovich and Sheik Mansoor or Sheik Khaleifi all the day for me. Sheik Bin Makhtoom also won't be bad, I am sure better than FSG as he is apparently a fan of LFC, though he is not as rich as the others mentioned, but, Dubai is recovering very quickly.

I would still prefer to have FSG over Mansoor and Abramovich. The Red Sox were in turmoil last year as well, you should look into the type of deals done by the Red Sox, including slashing player salaries by $150mill over a course of 5 years. Yet, they still ended up winning the World Series. Wait for it. You will see what they can do.

Owners like Arsenal?

So owners who only started allowing the manager to sign big names on big contracts once they had got the club on a sound financial footing with an expanded stadium that then allows them to go after the big names without bankrupting themselves?

That kind of owner?

Baseball and premiership football are totally different sports.

More than any sport money talks in football

It's no accident all the successful clubs are also the wealthiest. Baseball is primarily a national sport football is truly global

Oh dear, this is a football forum, not rounders!

Never read such shyte in all my life. Not only is what you have written way to pro FSG, it irritates beyond belief that people out there even remotely believe that a club in a rounders league can compare to that in the Premiership....

to be honest baseball is the sport where money generally talks loudest compared to any other. That is why the Yankees have only missed a handful of postseason berths in the last 20 years.

I'd prefer any owner that is honest and up front. The problem with these w@nkers we have now is that they took over and made statements and promises that they never could have kept.

Remember Werner saying “certainly have the resources to compete with anyone in football.".... what a lying tw@t !!

They were always fairly upfront that Liverpool would be self financing in the main
