Maybe this who transfer mess is because as Rodgers has said he only wants players that can improve the starting 11, just maybe he's refusing to accept any of the transfers that the committee have lined up for this window because they are all young prospects.

This could all be a massive stand off between Rodgers and the committee, some sort of power struggle (we seem to have a lot of those) I'm sure when the window closes and we have no one more details will come out about what's going on at the club.

That is actually a good point you're making.

Rodgers does keep saying things like "I won't spend money for the sake of it" & "I will only sign players that can make a diffenence now"

Rodgers threw Ayre under the bus yesterday, Ayre says Salah dodnt want to join us in the end...

Rodgers said the money guys didnt make the right moves..

Even Salah's agent said we negotiated for 2 and a half months...

I believe BR.. We need a proper CEO not a marketing guy who's a try hard and low balls people consistently.

Ayre does not have the experience to complete signings or do deals to bring in players and convince them to join lfc, sell the club to them

I wud of offered Basel a down payment 10m, plus a total of another 7m over 3 yrs if salah helps lfc win trophies and get back into the cl....

I'd like to think you are correct. BR would seriously go up in my estimation if that was the case.

You think Rodgers is having a standoff with the guys he brought to this club, his mates, the people he's worked with for years, as that's who the committee is, the only one who isn't is Ayre.

I think you're giving BR too much credit, he sanctioned all the previous years. He knew what he was signing. It's he who has wasted so much money since he got here, just like he did at Swansea, transfer gaffs aren't a new thing to him, he made some monumental errors at his previous clubs.

To me it seems like Rodgers is under serious pressure and it's top 4 or nothing, if he's trying to take the owners down with him then he can just [oops] off and go back to the championship where he belongs.

As in the scouts who used to work for Man City? He brought a few coaches with him but who else?

Ayre - in charge of signing the players up.
