Just wanted to gauge where people think we will finish in the league IF we don't buy anyone in the transfer window and going on the current situation that only Chelsea have bought someone.

I think even without buying anyone we can still finish 4th. I think we would need to buy 2/3 really quality players to have an outside chance at winning the league but I can't see the money being put forward for that.

No I agree. I would like to see us sign a player or 2 in the window and I think there is a certain amount of money there to do it but I don't see us in a doom and gloom situation if we don't

all hypotetical situations though. As it stands do you think we can finish in the top 4?

I think the way Rodgers has got the squad set up and playing we could still finish in the top4 without any new players, but it's a risk because if Suarez and Sturridge got injured we don't have enough goals from midfield to win enough games. But if we have some luck with injuries I think we'll make top4. It would become a lot easier if we did buy two more class players though.

Think we'll still get fourth with or without new signings. The goals Daniel and Luis are getting for us at the minute will carry us. Those 2 are papering over the cracks though.

They have shown themselves to be good enough without the other but ideally that won't be tested

Yes we'll have to do it after the transfer window, however, doing it now would also give an indication whether fans think we can finish I the top 4 if we do not buy additional quality.

I think that with our current squad, we'll finish 5th (we were 6th after the first half of the season I think but 1 or 2 points from 4th). I however feel that both United and Spurs have underperformed and will improve and the thinness of our squad will show with more games played (injuries and tiredness)

It will be interesting to see how long Spurs continue on their good run. They are playing extremely attacking football under Sherwood and are yet to get caught out by a good counter attacking team but I think they might be quite similar to us in terms of beating the weaker teams.

United have been poor but they are going to be without Rooney for the next 3 weeks I think. They can't really afford to fall behind anymore. I don't think they will have the consistency against the weaker teams and I think they will drop points against the top 6 teams. If Moyes does manage to get them top 4 from this position he will be doing extremely well

Everton are very hard to judge as I think there season will come down to how durable their squad is. They are in a similar enough position as ourselves in that if 1 or 2 of their best players get injured they could struggle hugely.
