Must admit I took more interest in him a couple of years ago when we were linked with him and soon came to the conclusion that he would have been a big waste of money.
Don't think he was ever near Prem class and unbelievable that Russians paid nearly £10m for him. Would imagine what they got in for Jelavic they spent on him. Any more and they have been seriously had. Doesn't strengthen their squad overall. Just about maintains it.

Watch him with Ireland a lot. Lots of pace, a few tricks, absolutely zero composure or final ball. Good luck to them

He looked okay in Scotland and Russia, he'll be average at best in the prem. probably worse than Downing.

i think this is an astute signing myself..he is a slow burner..has matured ,makes better decisions. think he will be a hit with martinez style of football

I really don't care who Everton sign! You should as they will probably be our main challenger for 4th position.
