Still no evidence of corruption or match fixing in the PL other than ex players openly admitting it can be done...And when it can be doe and someone stands to make a profit from it, it will be done. Other than atrocious refereeing decisions being made. Other than numerous managers complaining about favouritism. Favouritism is a form of match fixing.

Favouritism influences the outcome of matches and is hence a form of match fixing...well in my opinion.

Back to the op, the way Fifa has handled it is shameful. The US, England, and Australia have grounds to take them to court for selling to a nation that couldn't honor the terms of the original deal.
However, I think there is a potential opportunity here. Every year, UEFA countries use the worst half of the year for the season, and waste the summer on internationals. The most crowded the fixtures get in England is in the December-January period, when it's coldest and players are most likely to be injured. FIFA have made a mess, but perhaps switching to a summer focused schedule would benefit European teams in the long run, the prem included.

Absolutely stinks of VERY dodgy goings on this. FIFA urgently need investigating, and they can piggin' well do the sweet FA while they're at it. All the same pigs snufflin' round in the same pit of swill, utter corrupt bent bass turds the lot of 'em. Just luv that earthy eloquence and effusive verbal exuberance Growler, never was a cast iron truth more eloquently put, nor a nail hit more succinctly on the head.

Corruption is everywhere, not just in sport, but in all walks of life. Politics, art, economy, you name it, and you can be sure that somewhere, there are some people who are taking us for a ride and beoming billionairs in the process. All you need to do is look thorougly and you will smell the stench coming out.

I hear that a Martian consortium is putting together an impressive bid to hold a world cup on their home planet. Apparently the renumeration offered to FIFA delegates beats any offer from the Arab/Gulf nations. as any educated human would know, it is also quite hot on mars. And the atmosphere is toxic to humans, but as i understand, the martian culture permits consumption of alcohol and women behaving as if they were human in public.
I have heard from a reliable source that FIFA have endorsed any bid from the martians for any upcoming world cup.
I support the Martian world cup bid because Mars is RED.
Cheers lads, have a good weekend!

Ha ha, wonder how much the key actors would pocket and what the exchange rate would be?
