No prem experience but he has played in champions league and went to the semis of the europa league with Basel. Also has an excellent record with Egypt although thats perhaps less reliable to go on

He is fast, skillfull and can score.

Can't say I've ever properly seen him, but this is enough to make me think he's definitely worth a shot- he's played at the highest club level against some of the best teams around and still managed to give a good account of himself, more than once. To say he's carried Basel would be unfair on people like Stocker and Streller who have also played well in the CL, but he's been their outstanding performer most of the time.

Good buy at <£10m, but we still need more.

Maybe he wants to keep the vultures away.

Not sold on the fella to be honest. Kicks it past players and beats them with speed. Reminds me of Lennon, which might give us a different dynamic to our attack. I just get the feeling that he doesn't quite cut it. Hope I'm wrong, normally pretty good at spotting a player. Think Tello shows more skill.

Both salah and tello are very good players and would improve us. Both have pace and quality. Can't help but feel we need a bit of strength in the middle a little more though. Looking at the Chelsea game we were completely outmuscled. Players like coutinho, sterling were woeful for simple reason they're too light and we have no one in the middle leading and bossing the game. Would like to see a beast of a player signed that can do a job. Not sure who's available but have never replaced masch

sterling was our best player v chelsea. everyone else was cack. we do need strength tho but we, and even BR, has been saying that since he came to the club. why buy ilori ,alberto and aspas when its so crucial to get muscle in there.

we have sterling and Moses who are young players playing in the same area as Salah. I would prefer we buy an established player who can score goals.
we have enough youngsters. having said that I think sterling is doing a good job on the wing, and right now we need to strengthen other areas like midfield and defence.

Its in the ether that its done and tello not far away. Both typical fsg signings but like most here I think we need a bit of muscle in cm
