Couldn't wait could you flamey? I could sense you salivating on the shout box during the match... just desperate to see BR fail so you can tell us all how right you were.
Putting it all down to BR's mentality, or lack of, is just a juvenile and spiteful argument. It shows more who you are - than any sort of wisdom about the game. ALL managers make bad purchases - the transfer market is a complete lottery. The likes of Borini and Aspas were not massive gambles - and Sturridge, Coutinho, Sakho, Toure, even Luis Alberto will turn out to be shrewd buys. Sterling seems to be well coached - as have one or two other youngsters like Flanno. Yes, the squad is threadbare - but the owners don't seem to sanction too many 30-40 mil transfers to let us keep pace with Man City and Chelsea - so BR has to make-do mostly by shopping in the bargain bins.
As for wanting a "real manager" - you are just so full of hyperbole and twaddle all the time it's almost a waste of breath trying to debate you. Lots of "real" managers have come to the prem with impressive CVs and failed miserably. By "real manager" you either mean someone impossible to get - or some flavour of the month that is arguably no improvement on what we've got. It's just a silly, empty statement - you never have suggestions, ideas or names - just hollow criticisms that have no depth of rationality. Claiming to have uncoded BR's "pattern" like you have cracked some medieval code is just more posturing. You desperately want BR to fail for some unknown reason - and that's all there is to it.
Try to peddle your wisdom all you want - I for one ain't buying. This is about as good as anyone can expect given how far our squad is behind our main rivals - and given the level of player investment. We're in a good position to build on a surprising start - but it will be up to FSG more than BR whether we do or not. Perhaps a bit hard on old Flames there Kop, but I fully agree with your analysis of where we’re at, and who’s to blame for our threadbare squad and our unuseable bench, of young cheapies and bargain basement players. It’s up to FSG and not Rodgers to provide the required investment.

Because surely with the performances we have seen this season, people have reason to be optimistic? We've been unfortunate to come up against the two power horses of the league in consecutive fixtures away from home. But flames, credit where it's due (even from the haters), Rodgers has us playing good possession-based football, and is beginning to get the best out of our so called "deadwood". He can only work with what he has, if he had his way - we would have a quality squad in depth as it's clear that some of the players that he targeted such as Douglas Costa and your fella from Shaktar (now at Dortmund), are proving their worth elsewhere. For me the onus is on the owners, not the manager. I think it's still too early to judge Rodgers as a manager of our club to suggest that he isn't good enough. +1!

false dawn really , so in the top 4 mix and being in the top 4 and top of the league many times this season until today isnt enough of very decent progress , i think its not a false dawn is liverpool improving from the dalglish era of waste and the 7th place and squad benitez left liverpool with , its no were near right yet and some of the signings havent worked yet or may never work out , but , rogers has made suarez a better goalscorer and fought to keep him , sturridge will return and will be a major player , coutinho good player , he has improved henderson 10 fold , even jon flanagan has improved , so if that isnt good enough what is ? It would be good if you could put some perspective in your analysis. Just for your information, the season KD was sacked, we had 34 pts after 19 games and it was KD's first full season. In our current great half season as you have put it, we have 36 pts. We didn't buy any players in the Jan of that season despite having a very thin squad and Suarez off for a number of games because of the Evra affair, but, we went to 2 cup finals, winning one. Mark my words, if we do not bring any reinforcements in next month, we'll finish below 6th and no cup to show despite our best start of the season in years. Honestly, do you think we will be in the top 4 without any new purchases in Jan, would like to have your views?

Fact is we have improved by 2 points despite the Carolls and Adams, so roll on I say, we don't need to buy anybody just as it was 2 years back.

Rodgers has squandered just as much money as Kenny, so I'm not sure how you can call him out for that but not Rodgers. I don't know how you can call Rafa out for leaving us with a top 4 squad, when Rodgers has killed off all depth we had and left us completely threadbare to the point when 1 injury can kill off matches for us, we're not even a team anyway, we are Suarez fc, if he gets shut out in games we end up either losing or drawing. Without Suarez, Rodgers would have been sacked a long long time ago. He is simply papering over the giant cracks we have.

But is the threadbare squad down to BR or a cost cutting exercise courtesy of our glorious owners?
That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.
