but it could and should have been better. in the last two games did you get any sense from the squad that we really thought we could win? that we really believed and really went for it? i didnt. we looked headless in both those games. rodgers seems to be able to motivate players for lesser games but when it comes to the crunch we are bottling it and this is what i mean when i say i have very little faith in rodgers when it comes to the business end of the season. he will lose any final we ever reach, an crumble if it comes to a race for fourth.

I don't believe sacking Rodgers and giving someone else 4 years to waste under fsg is the answer Flames
That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

I think this falls on the owners flames, if we'd gotten mihkitarin, costa, willian. Would we have brought on smith. I think rogers & fsg have us nearly there but it needs q big Jan.... I'm a BR fan, but to be fair that was a bizarre substitution. We had Alberto and Aspas on the bench both of whom have stacks more experience. I'm still trying to work out the motivation for bringing Smith on... Anyway, on a thread a while back asking why lots of posters (like myself) went quiet when we were top I posted about our easy fixtures at the start of the season. I think now is a good time to point out that the fixtures are now heavily in our favour, with Shitty, Spuds, Bluenoses, Geordies, the Chavs and the Arse all having to come to ours. Let's not get too despondent, we're still in a great position. Need to bounce back against Hull and show what we're made of.

comes to an end. Welcome back to earth.
let me explain my views on Rodgers once again and just clarify my position....once again. Firstly, i have always and will always support liverpool and always want them to win and succeed. always. in fact i would say i want success more than the apologists around here.
As for the BR pattern, its simple. No expectation on the club due to some poor results; we get our act together and follow that with some really impressive football over average to good opposition, the expectation is raised and the pressure comes on, and then we bottle it, and we are back to square one.
Rodgers cannot mentally compete at this level. He hasnt got the character or personality. Thats his team out there, with his signings, and thats his bench, with his signings. The pattern will continue and we will forever be in the europa league or worse. I want us at the top, i want a real manager, i want liverpool to be the best team in the world.
It' simply my opinion. the fact that it provokes abuse, name calling, trolling, etc only suggests that there is an element of truth in what im saying that certain people wont allow themselves to consider. If we'd just lost to West Ham and Sunderland then this view might hold some weight. But we lost two games that no one would have thought we'd win at the start of the season. The fact that we're disappointed to have lost them speaks volumes of how well we've done this year. The season isn't over yet and with a few top quality additions, there's no reason we can't get fourth. And one question. Who would you replace Rodgers with bearing in mind the restrictions they'd have to work under?

see, saying we didnt think we would win them at the start of the season, and watching two very winnable games is two very different things. we should have got something out of those games, we just didnt believe.
i dont know who should replace rodgers, its not my forte. but i would imagine someone with some credentials and experience both at the top tier and in europe should the time come.
