just give him 200k a week and promise him we will start competing in the transfer window and maybe just maybe he will stay for another season

Put in a clear cut release clause for 80 million pounds and give him 200 k a week. That AND promise we'll compete in the market. We got a lot of big earners off the wage books this year. We should be able to do this.

At least there are discussions. If he was to go he wouldn't bother talking about renewing his contract unless it is to clarify his exit clause.

If Bale is worth 80 mill then Duarez is worth at least 100 mill :-)

Back to the topic, great for us if we can keep him. I still think he will leave in the summer if we don't get top four though new contract or not.

he think because he writes things like our club we'll all believe he's a Liverpool fan, and I think it helps him prolong his stay a little bit before he gets booted for being a knob again.
