we cant ignore the fact that their manager is on the way out so its clearly an unsettled spurs team we beat. they werent up to much, lets face it. all im saying is, despite our current league position, we don't look solid. we just don't, and no amount of talking us up is going to change that.

the test will come when the expectation is on us and we are at the business end of the season, pressure on, lets see what rogers is made of.

I would agree that our top performance was probably due to a very bad Spurs on the day, however, second in Dec is a big achievement. We should not expect BR to make us champions at the end of the season though, doing that would be unfair.

Spurs were terrible. Liverpool were very good for 40% of the game. But how would we have gone without Suarez?

Are you including missing Sturridge as well? We would probably have struggled without both of them as Aspas is also injured.

The whole team were excellent throughout the game and not just 40% though? We dominated them in the first half. Sterlings man was replaced at half time. We could have had an extra goal or two at half time.

am not sure they have spent it that badly. i can see another manager ( a attack minded one) coming in and get them to play some good football. on paper they have a better squad and possibly a better 1st 11 then us

Soldado bagged loads of goals before going to tottenham because he then had players around him who knew and complimented his game. Tottenham just look like a team of individuals all looking to try and make their mark, yet they arnt working as a team and supporting each other. Which was bound to happen when you buy that many players for one area of the pitch.
all of that has more to do with the manager and his tactics. its those kind of tactics that got him the sack . a manager like martinez, brenden would make that team look great

the problem for spurs now is that any new manager will want to bring his own players in during the January transfer window, there will be the inevitable adjustment period for the new manager and new system of play. I can see this being a very rough season for spurs now & i'll be amazed if they are anywhere near CL football come May.
