I was almost always disappointed for any game after a top performance win this season. We had one of our best away games under BR so far against Spurs and have a relatively easy next game against Cardiff at home. I really hope that it will not be the same this time. I would be unacceptable not to win that one, all the positivity will go down the drain. Won't be too bothered to lose some points at Chelsea and City away, but will really be [oops] off if it happens against Cardiff. Don't know about you.

Personally I'm a little skeptical regarding Brendan Rodger's ability to A) Set the team up accurately (at times), and B) Get the team fired up enough against teams we should beat (see the no shows against Southampton and Hull).

If we don't beat Cardiff then the Spurs result won't mean much.

They've seemed up for it in the last few games, but we still ave the ability to put in a Hull performance. I'd be happy with any win this weekend, I'd take a scrapy 1-0 now. The most important thing for me is we reach 36 points by the half way point, anything else is a massive bonus.

We have been excellent against the bottom 10 teams this season. Southampton were flying when we played them and we had an off day. Hull was the one major blemish against poor teams this season. Our record against the bottom 10 teams as it stands is played 9, won 8, lost 1, scored 25 and conceded 8.

not true imo

If we had lost to Spurs and beaten Cardiff would you have said the same thing?

Beating Spurs opened up a gap on them. If we beat Cardiff on Saturday, it will mean that Everton will have to win their next 3 games for us not to be in the top 4 at the halfway point of the season

Let's not even think that we will resort to another performance like that against Hull please no! 1-0 will do. Let's hope we see a professional performance against Cardiff where everyone turns up.

Actually quietly confident for the encounter against Chelsea. Pity Sturridge is still out I'd really fancy it against anyone. Been a long time since it was that way. A long time.

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.
