Gotta keep adding to the squad. Need a box to box cm, a young sg. James McCarthy? You guys would know maybe gettable players. But 1 maybe 2 first 11 players in Jan and then why not top 3 maybe top 2. We've made a serious start, gotta keep the road on the show. Injuries will decide our fate. With one caveat everything above depends on keeping Luis till summer

No, so go chew on that.

I said he'd stay this summer, and I got slated for believing the owners could hold him or for even wanting him after bite-gate, but he stayed and what a difference he's made. His whole life, he's been a bit mad and out of control (he was an even bigger nutter at Ajax), but he seems to have really calmed down since his ban ended, and it's helped his game immensely. His passion and his drive to win are still there, but they're tempered. Controlled. His finishing, his passing, and his overall play have been on another planet this year.

I'm going to predict that the current top 4 will be THE top 4 come next May. Don't know which order, but I suspect Citeh will win it. Good shout that. City are beating everyone, big and small clubs, at the moment and that's what Champions do, so I'd expect them to go on and win it, but the other 3 spots are up for grabs I think. We seem to have the weakest squad depth compared with Arsenal and Chelsea but that could all change in January. Top 4 is slowly becoming a real possibility, the team looks like it's really clicking, largely thanks to Suarez. So happy he's our player

Top 4 for me and anything higher would be great. I'm not thinking the title but how unbelievable would it be??!!?

my take on expectations is this...
at the start of the season I thought that top 4 should be our target but wasn't sure we would achieve it. I said that I'd be happy that come April we would still be in the mix for a top 4 finish.
at the moment we have an excellent springboard for that. even of we get no points from city or Chelsea (though it's possible to get results there) and we beat Cardiff, we will turn into the transfer window in a top 4 position having played spurs, arsenal, everton, city and Chelsea away already.
it puts us, for the first time in years, in a really good position to negotiate to bring in one serious top class player in January (I know we did well last January too) but our bargaining power will be stronger than then. I personally hope that player is a top class dm so teams like hull, everton and Southampton can't play right through us like we have seen in the first half of the season. a player like Tom huddlestone should never be allowed to dictate play to lfc, yaya toure I can't accept but not huddlestone.
if we can bring in the right quality, I would be confident of making top 4. we're in a better position at this point in the season than I thought we would be. assuming we will beat Cardiff, and taking even 1 or 2 points in the following games and we will be real contenders

CARDIFF IS THE PRIORITY NOW we need to back that win with a comfortably home display and put doubt in chelsea and city as to how to play us a big win against Cardiff will do us enormous favors against those two they will be wary of of us which is good for us i agree , beating spurs was great and getting back to 2nd place as well is great even though to some it isnt but to the vast majority it is , for me beat cardiff city and hope for a MINIMUM of 4 points from chelsea , MCFC and hull tigers would be great

we might be second but there is only 6 points difference between us and 7th and there is a lot of games left. i would have taken 4th at the beggining of the season and its not different now. we shouldnt get too ahead of our self

My expectation, min top 4 finish which is possible if we maintain the form and not get carried away on the 2nd half of the season.
Winning the PL is a bonus!
While we can all enjoy the performance at WHL, I am more concern of the game at Man City. Seeing them how they dispose Arsenal over the weekend, makes me think how are we going to contain them. See their form at home, we will most probably lose the game but hope it will be a respectable score. A draw is a good result.
We will then have to carry on to the next game at Chelsea which to me, there is a chance for a win.
So, the next 3 games, min is 4 points (Cardiff win, lose at City and draw at Chelsea), best, 7 points (Cardiff win, draw at City and win at Chelsea).
