My expectations are still 3-4th, which is what they were at the start. If ever there was a year to break up the big 5, it's this year. Despite the performance, I think the midfield needs some reinforcing, and a fullback looks like a necessary buy.

Really need feet on the ground here. Spurs were shocking. Probably as bad as I have ever seen anyone play at home.
Get a home win v Cardiff is an absolute must. That is the next game not City or Chelsea. But get a win next week and we have virtually a free go at City. I think all today's result does really is put us where we expected before the Hull game, we expected to lose against Spurs but beat Hull, Norwich and West Ham so no change really 9 points from those four games. I expected better than a loss to Spurs especially how they've been playing.

Don't get me wrong, it is an are that we should strengthen, but for now I don't think its a necessary area, atleast not as much as our midfield. A quality DM and winger in Jan and I'll be happy

Didn't you say we were of the same quality as WBA, Swansea and Fulham and the likes...prior to the season start?

I'd be over the moon with 4th and I think that's our best chance.
That in itself would be a huge acheivement for BR and the team considering the competition and would likely mean knocking the champions into 5/6th.
We're relying on Suarez keeping this level up too Jan buys are essential.

If we could go around the group and take a snapshot of your expectations for this session.
Here's mine.
Feet on the ground ? Absolutely but I have to confess if we don't finish in the top four I will be very disappointed in fact I will go further I would say I think we will have blown it. This December is critical but an outstanding start on that hard programme today Yeah a good summary, I’m beginning to believe top 4 is a possibility now. That was a brilliant performance, with Henderson stepping up as required and a well deserved man of the match award, Suarez was great again and I have to commend both Sterling and young Flanagan, both were outstanding. Coutinho was somehow well off his game for a change though. But overall to go to Spurs and turn them over to that extent is very encouraging indeed. Spurs were very slow and sluggish in all dept’s. particularly at the back where we left them for dead all evening. Not wishing to get carried away with one outstanding away performance, but that was really outstanding, and is very encouraging. I feel much more optimistic about the Chelsea and City games now than I have been. We showed grit and determination to win the ball and in possession we worked it forward extremely well. Have to say again Henderson was absolutely outstanding today.

if we are less than 5 points off the top after xmas and we sign an alonso, cabeye or someone like that then we can win the prem no doubt about it. we will have most of our title rivals at anfield. we can finally settle on skrtel sahko as or best centre pairing. we have the best player in the world playing for us. just get the midfield player in to move the ball around for us. You'll Never Walk Aloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooone
